French automaker Citroen is gearing up to unveil the automatic variants of its popular C3 Aircross SUV in the Indian market. The eagerly anticipated announcement of the prices is scheduled for tomorrow, 29 January. Let’s dive into the details of this exciting development.
Variants and Booking Details
Citroen will be introducing two variants for the automatic transmission – Max and Plus. Customers can secure their bookings for these models by paying a token amount of Rs. 25,000.
No significant changes have been made to the design of the automatic variant when compared to its manual counterparts. The sleek and stylish exterior remains consistent, ensuring a seamless transition for those familiar with the C3 Aircross.
Inside the SUV, the cabin retains its allure, offering a 10.2-inch touchscreen infotainment screen equipped with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Other features include a fully digital instrument cluster, drive modes, and dedicated AC vents for the third row, ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable ride.
Engine
The Citroen C3 Aircross Automatic variants boast impressive specifications, making them a compelling choice for SUV enthusiasts. Under the hood, the PURETECH 110 engine delivers a powerful performance with 109 bhp at 5500 rpm and a peak torque of 190 Nm at 1750 rpm.
The transmission is automatic, featuring a TC (Torque Converter) system for a smooth driving experience. With a commendable mileage of 18.5 kmpl and adherence to the BS6 Phase 2 emission standard, the SUV ensures both efficiency and environmental compliance.
Regarding handling and control, the C3 Aircross maintains a turning radius of 5.4 meters, making it manoeuvrable in various driving conditions.

The braking system comprises ventilated discs at the front and drum brakes at the rear. The SUV rides on 195 / 65 R15 tires, supported by power-assisted electric steering. The well-balanced suspension system features a Macpherson Strut with Coil Spring at the front and a Rear Twist Beam with Coil Spring at the rear. Additionally, the vehicle offers a generous ground clearance of 200 mm.
Dimensions and Capacity
Moving on to its dimensions and weight, the C3 Aircross stands at a length of 4323 mm, width of 1796 mm, and height of 1669 mm, with a wheelbase of 2671 mm. The kerb weight is a manageable 1275 kg. With three seating rows and a capacity for seven persons, the SUV is designed to accommodate both family and group travel. The five doors provide convenient access, and the fuel tank capacity of 45 litres ensures sufficient range for extended journeys.
